Vehicle seized for no insurance

Today, Tuesday 30th December 2025, whilst on patrol, i stopped a business vehicle displaying company details. Checks revealed no valid insurance—it had been cancelled due to missed payments.

The driver, who was also the business owner, believed the vehicle was insured. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. The van was seized, and the driver received a ticket for driving without insurance. This means a fine, points on their licence, and recovery costs.
